The University of Greenwich offers students a blend of historical and modern educational experiences across its uniquely located campuses. Greenwich University's three main campuses are each situated in unique locations. The University of Greenwich operates across three main campuses. Each offers students a unique educational and living experience: the Greenwich Campus, home to the Old Royal Naval College buildings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Avery Hill Campus, with its lush green spaces and modern educational facilities; and the Medwey Campus, renowned for its maritime history. The Greenwich campus is situated on the banks of the River Thames and is rich in both history and architecture. Combining historical and modern elements, the Greenwich campus is also notable for its extensive green spaces, museums, and parks. The modern library and student union facilities on campus are designed to meet students' academic and social needs. Furthermore, this campus provides easy access to natural beauties such as Greenwich Park and central London areas, offering students excellent opportunities to spend their free time. The Avery Hill campus of the University of Greenwich is located in Eltham, London, surrounded by extensive green spaces. The Medwey Campus is located in the Medwey area of ​​Kent, on the historic Catham Dockyard. The University of Greenwich has produced many renowned figures throughout its history. Cristina McVie, keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter for Fleetwood Mac; Dave Downtree, drummer for Blur and a Labour Party politician; and Rui Moreira, Portuguese politician and businessman, are among the world-famous alumni of the University of Greenwich.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, a former graduate of the University of Greenwich, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019. Chinese-born physicist Charles K. Kao, who received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the use of fiber optics in communication technologies, also completed his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering at the University of Greenwich.

Rui de Carvalho de Araújo Moreira is a Portuguese businessman and politician who has served as the Mayor of Porto since 2013. Although officially independent, he has been supported by the CDS - People's Party since 2013 and by the Liberal Initiative since 2021.

The program duration is at least 2 semesters and Foundation Year-end programs usually start in September. It's a university preparation program designed to improve your English level and academic skills, helping you transition to undergraduate studies. 

If you do not meet the admission requirements for direct entry into undergraduate studies, successful completion of the University of Greenwich's Foundation Year program guarantees you the opportunity to begin the first year of your undergraduate program the following year.

University of Greenwich International Year One

The program lasts at least two semesters. It is a university preparatory program designed to lay the foundation for your chosen undergraduate program and develop your academic skills. 

If you do not meet the admission requirements for direct entry into undergraduate studies, you have the opportunity to begin the second year of your undergraduate program directly the following year if you successfully complete the University of Greenwich's International Year One program.

CAS Letter

Universities send acceptance letters called CAS (Course of Availability) to students for use in the visa application process. You can request your CAS letter from the school through your EDUKAS consultant.

Bank account statement

The school and accommodation fees must be deposited in your current account or your sponsor's current account at your bank for 28 consecutive days prior to your visa interview appointment. (Accommodation costs in London are £12,006, and outside London £9,207, as determined by the visa department.) You can find out the exact amount from your consultant when it's time for the visa process.

Passport

You will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months.

Identity register copy

If your mother or father will be financially sponsoring you for your education, you can easily obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate through the e-government system to prove their relationship.

Diploma & Transcript

The most up-to-date versions of these documents, as stated in your CAS document, are uploaded electronically during the visa application process.

Consent form for students under 18 years of age

Students under the age of 18 who are about to begin their education in England can obtain this document, confirming their parental permission, with the assistance of a notary.

Sponsorship Letter

If the student's education and living expenses are covered by the parents, a petition proving this must be provided, or if the student receives a scholarship from an institution (such as YLSY), a document from the institution proving this must be obtained.

You will also need to pay a "Healthcare Fee" as part of your visa application. The amount you will pay depends on the duration of your visa.

– The UK government allows international students studying on a student visa to work. You can work while studying. 

– You are entitled to work part-time for 20 hours per week during your undergraduate or postgraduate studies, and full-time during holidays.
