Founded in 1963 and one of five universities funded by the BBSRC, the University of East Anglia is a prestigious research university located in Norwich, England. Since its inception, the university has achieved significant success, initially gaining prominence in the 1980s in the fields of environmental sciences, development studies, and international relations. It later achieved worldwide recognition in the 1990s for its pioneering work on global warming through its Climatic Research Unit.
The university is a member of the Norwich Research Park, which has one of the largest concentrations of researchers in Europe in the fields of agriculture, genomics, health and environment. UEA is also one of the country's most cited research institutions worldwide.

Universities send acceptance letters called CAS (Course of Availability) to students for use in the visa application process. You can request your CAS letter from the school through your EDUKAS consultant.
The school and accommodation fees must be deposited in your current account or your sponsor's current account at your bank for 28 consecutive days prior to your visa interview appointment. (Accommodation costs in London are £12,006, and outside London £9,207, as determined by the visa department.) You will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months.
If your mother or father will be financially sponsoring you for your education, you can easily obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate through the e-government system to prove their relationship.

Students under the age of 18 who are about to begin their education in England can obtain this document, confirming their parental permission, with the assistance of a notary.
If the student's education and living expenses are covered by the parents, a petition proving this must be provided, or if the student receives a scholarship from an institution (such as YLSY), a document from the institution proving this must be obtained.

The UEA campus is a short bus ride or walk from Norwich city centre, surrounded by approximately 145–320 acres of green space, ponds and outdoor nature trails. Student amenities include the on-campus social hub Bar SU and the live music venue LCR, while the city centre boasts a historic market, live music, and a vibrant independent café/bar culture.
Undergraduate applications are made through UCAS, while Master's applications are made through the university's own portal. For undergraduate applications, requirements vary by program, but a minimum high school GPA of 87,5% is required to be eligible for the Foundation year. Students with an IB score of 32-35 or British A-levels can apply directly to the program. For Master's applications, a minimum GPA of 2.4 is generally required, along with an undergraduate diploma, transcript, personal statement, academic references, and a CV. Some programs may require a portfolio or work experience. The IEA declared a Climate & Biodiversity Emergency in 2019, set a net-zero carbon target by 2045, and plans to reduce Scope 1–2 emissions by 80%–45% by 2030.
Under the umbrella of the UEA Students' Union, there are nearly 200 societies and over 60 sports clubs; showcasing diversity with e-sports, sailing, performing arts, and cultural societies. Student media: Concrete, the monthly student newspaper, Livewire 1350 radio station, and UEA:TV, all broadcast actively under the UEA Media Collective. The CareerCentral (Careers, Employability & Skills) system provides students with one-on-one counseling, CV/interview support, mentorship, job training programs, and access to recruitment fairs. Post-graduation support continues for up to three years. According to the UK's Graduate Outcomes data from StudentCrowd 2022, 96,4% of graduates are in professional employment or further education, compared to approximately 81% overall.
